Payouts
Where your paid-voting earnings go once they are yours. What applies to you depends on your country, which you picked when you set up payments.
On Stripe: your payouts are Stripe’s
In most countries vote payments land straight in your own Stripe account, so there is no payout for us to send and nothing to request. Stripe pays your bank on its own schedule and keeps the record of every payout, its timing and its fees.
Sign in to Stripe to see them, or use the Stripe dashboard button on the Payments page. Your bank details live with Stripe, so that is also the only place they can be changed.
If a bank payout fails, Stripe tells you and the money stays on your Stripe balance. Fix the bank account there and Stripe retries on its own.
Requesting a payout
In the few countries our team pays out manually (Nigeria today), we collect your earnings, hold them briefly so refunds and chargebacks can settle, and you ask for them when you are ready. Click Request Payout on the Payments page. The window shows what is available and the minimum, then click Submit Request.
- There is a minimum payout amount, which depends on the payout currency you chose. Anything under it is not lost, it keeps building until your next request.
- You can only have one payout request at a time.
- Your request sits as Pending until our team sends it, then it becomes Paid.
Why is Request Payout greyed out?
Hover the button and Izivote tells you why. The usual reasons:
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Add a payout method | You have not set payouts up yet. |
| You already have a pending payout request | Wait for it to be sent before requesting again. |
| Earnings are still clearing | Give it a few days. They move to Available on their own. |
| No earnings yet | Nobody has paid for a vote on your pages yet. |
| Below the minimum | Keep collecting, then request once you are over the minimum. |
Payout history
The Payout History table lists every request with its Total, the Payable amount, its Status (Pending, Paid, or Cancelled), the Method used, a Reference, and when you asked for it. Use the dropdown to filter by status.
Need a pending request cancelled or changed? Get in touch and we will sort it out.
Changing where the money goes
- Stripe: you can Remove the connection from Izivote whenever no payout is pending, even mid-verification. Money already paid into your Stripe account stays yours.
- Manual: use Change to edit your details or Remove to clear them, though neither is possible while a payout request is still pending. If you are switching to Stripe, request any earnings we still owe you first.
- Currency: each vote page’s currency is fixed once that page takes its first payment. On the manual path you also have one payout currency, the one you chose when adding your details, which is fixed once paid voting starts so earnings already taken cannot be relabelled.
While you have no working payout method, voters cannot pay on your paid pages and those pages cannot be opened for voting. Setting up a new method fixes it straight away.
Refunds after a payout
If a payment is refunded or disputed after we have already paid you for those votes, the amount is recorded as owed and our team will contact you to settle it. See Refunds and disputes for what happens to the votes themselves.
