Managing & Settings

Everything about running an existing vote page lives under its Settings tab and the Vote Pages list. This page covers the general settings, the public link, and the destructive actions (which all require your password).

Your vote pages list

Click Vote Pages in the sidebar to see every page you have created, newest first. Each row shows the page’s name and thumbnail plus badges for its type, voting type, Open/Closed status, and Published/Draft status. Per row you can:

  • View live page (only when published)
  • Settings (pen icon)
  • Delete (trash icon)
  • Manage (opens the ballot)

Settings → General

Open a page and go to Settings → General:

  • Cover photo - upload or change the page image.
  • Link - your public URL (see below).
  • Name - rename the page.
  • Voting Open - the same on/off toggle as the header. When on, you can also enable Auto Close Voting with a date and time.
  • Show Votes - show or hide live vote counts to voters.
  • Private - hide the page from public listings and featured voting.
  • Description - a short description shown to voters on the page.

Click Save to apply.

Under Link you can customise your page URL. This is a paid-plan feature.

  • On the Free plan the link is fixed, with a prompt to upgrade to customise it.
  • On a paid plan, click Edit, change the slug, and Save.

[!WARNING] Changing the link means the old link stops working and there is no redirect. Anyone with the old link will not reach your page. Only change it before sharing widely. Embedded widgets keep working because they use a permanent identifier.

Settings → Manage (destructive actions)

The Manage sub-tab of Settings holds bulk delete actions. Each one is permanent and requires you to enter your account password to confirm:

  • Delete All Votes - clears every vote but keeps categories and nominees.
  • Delete All Nominees - removes every nominee.
  • Delete All Categories - removes every category (and their nominees).

Deleting a whole vote page

To delete an entire page, use the trash icon on the Vote Pages  list. You will be asked to confirm with your password, since all categories, nominees, and votes are permanently deleted.

[!WARNING] Deleting a vote page cannot be undone.

[!NOTE] Changing critical things after voting has started (for example deleting categories or nominees) affects existing results. Where a change could be unfair, Izivote blocks it, for example you cannot move a nominee that already has votes to a different category.
