Sharing & Embedding
Once your page is published, get it in front of voters by sharing the link, posting to social media, or embedding the vote directly on your own website.
Share
Click the Share button in your vote page header. On phones this opens your device’s native share sheet; otherwise a Share vote page dialog opens with everything you need.
The dialog shows your page URL with:
- Copy - copies the link to your clipboard.
- View - opens the live page.
- Share icons for X (Twitter), Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and Telegram.
You can also share a single category from the public page itself - each category has a Share menu with Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp options, handy for nominees rallying their own supporters.
Embed on your website
Embedding is on the Pro and Premium plans. On the Free plan, Share & Embed asks you to upgrade, and a widget already pasted on a site shows a Vote on Izivote button in its place. Your vote page keeps working on izivote.com, so you and your voters can still open it there. See Subscriptions & Plans.
Open Share & Embed in your vote page menu. Pick what you want to show, adjust the options, and copy the code. The preview beside it is the real widget, and you can switch it between desktop and mobile to see how it lands at either width before you paste anything.
What you can embed

The winners board is built for a finished vote: keep last season’s winners on your site while the next edition is being organized. It shows each category’s winner with their share of the vote, and nothing on it refreshes, so it reads as a record rather than a live scoreboard. Embed it while voting is still open and it says Voting open on it, so nobody mistakes a standing for a result.
The vote button sits where you paste it and opens the vote in a pop-up over your page, which keeps visitors on your site. It comes in three sizes and wears your page’s own background color, so it matches the vote it opens. Only the pop-up’s close button closes it: a click beside it will not lose a vote halfway through.
Pasting the code
The code is two lines: a <div> that marks the spot, and a <script> that loads it.

<script src="https://izivote.com/widget/v1.js" async></script>Add an HTML block to your page and paste both lines into it. Your site probably calls it something slightly different:
- WordPress - a Custom HTML block.
- Wix and Squarespace - an Embed or Code block.
- Webflow - an Embed element.
- Shopify - a Custom Liquid or HTML section.
The widget sizes itself to its content, so you do not need to guess a height, and it picks up your theme colors.
Putting more than one widget on the same page? Paste only the extra <div>. The script is already there, and one copy runs all of them.
Nothing showing up?
- Make sure the
<div>and the<script>both survived the paste. Some page builders strip a<script>out of a plain text block, which is why it has to go in an HTML or Embed block. - If your site shows your vote page’s link instead of the vote, the script did not load. Check your site for a script blocker or a “combine JavaScript” optimizer setting.
- A winners board that says the winners appear once voting closes is doing what your page’s settings ask of it. See Managing & Settings to change when voters see standings.
Embeds use your page’s permanent id, not the custom link, so an embed keeps working even if you later change your page’s public link (slug).
A note on links
Your public link looks like izivote.com/v/your-slug. If you change the slug later (a paid-plan feature), the old link stops working and there is no redirect, so only change it before you have shared it widely. Embedded widgets are unaffected. See Managing & Settings.
